PFW: Talbot Runhof’s Classic Glamour of Yesteryear

Johnny Talbot and Adrian Runhof used Marella Agnelli: The Last Swan, one of the glamorous and elegant beauties of last century’s upper crust as their inspiration for the Talbot Runhof S/S16 RTW runway collection shown at Paris Fashion Week. In tones of blue, black, and white, the duo created lean silhouettes in satin, chiffon, crepe, and taffeta. Crisp white trousers were paired with oversized cape tops and jackets. Tunics, caftans, and shift dresses had color blocks as well as an Art Deco style print in blue and grey. Evening wear took the form of metallic foil fringe and chiffon in flowing silhouettes. Some of these looks certainly look a little “madame” as Heidi Klum loves to say. But they are certainly creative modern takes on the vintage luxury lifestyle fashion.
