The Reem Acra Fall 2016 RTW collection was centered around the art of seduction, showcasing the current trend of barely there sheer gowns in a sexy boudoir show of skin. The looks were a little vixen, and a lot of sensual feminine romance with flowing slip dresses, embroidered lace, body-hugging silhouettes, and stunning Art Deco style embellishments in the form of sexy lingerie-style straps.
The looks are pure artistry, and what I love about this collection is that it elevates an inspiration that can often end up cheesy or too sexual, but Reem Acra avoided that entirely, and the looks are incredibly graceful. The creations definitely show some skin, but so much attention was given to the stunning details, that the sexual nature is not distracting from the dresses themselves. I love the beauty of this collection, and the gorgeous handwork that was put into the design of the lace, the embellishments, and the beautiful silhouettes. Any woman who wears any of these dresses will look and feel feminine and beautiful.
Personal favorites are the slinky scarlet halter dress with lace palm fronds covering the bust, the sheer rhinestone and steel blue fringe layered barely there dress, a similar black version with a sparkling ombre skirt ending in a sheer hemline, the green-gold sheer gown overlayed in black lace and starburst sequinned embroidery, the lilac Arabian lace sheer top over flowing chiffon skirt, and those stunning strappy cutout knee boots.
The looks were all incredibly feminine, artistic, and intricate. So in love with this collection!
