{LUXE RED CARPET} CANNES 2016 DAY 8: BELLA HADID DARED TO BARE, HAS “WARDROBE MALFUNCTION”

Before we get to the crazy wardrobe malfunction, let’s talk classy red carpet fashion, shall we? Today was the premiere of The Unknown Girl at the Cannes Film Festival, and the red carpet was hit with the American model posse along with a few stellar ladies of the big screen like Helen Mirren for one.

Alessandra Ambrosio wore a sleek, shimmering Michael Kors panel gown connected by rings all the way up the side of her body and around her back. Understated but gorgeous.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley dazzled in a red Alexandre Vauthier halter pleat dress with diamond ankle strap sandals. Between the flowers at the neckline, flowers at the hips, and the flowers at her ankles, the satin hot pants, the high slit, the ruffled bust, as wells as the crimson lips, there was just a lot going on here!

Model Eva Herzigova wore a white tea length plunge neck, that hugged all her curves perfectly. Not a lot of people can actually pull off a tea length on a red carpet, but her styling and the finish and cut of the dress just made it all work.

Helen Mirren wore a midnight blue A-line with lace sleeves by Dolce & Gabbana. The look was classic, and I loved her whole look – the hair, the makeup, all of it.

BEST DRESSED

Jourdan Dunn ~ Dress: Ralph & Russo

Jourdan Dunn opted for some volume with a strapless floral Ralph & Russo ballgown with a slightly high skirt and train. She looks absolutely stunning.

WORST DRESSED

Bella Hadid ~ Dress: Alexandre Vauthier

Now, on to the drama. Making sure to outdo each other, the model posse must have decided to up the ante of sexiness, especially after Kendall Jenner’s jaw-dropping sheer Cavalli number.

But oh, girl. Before I even knew about the wardrobe malfunction, I had already pegged that dress as unfortunately classless. I said the same thing when Ciara wore it. There are only two possibilities here. 1. Bella was not thinking when she chose a dress that was bound to have this happen, or 2. They were intentionally hoping have a “wardrobe malfunction” publicity stunt. Either way. Can we please take it back to the class!

The good part about this look? The shoes!
