{Model Edit} Olivia Culpo Glimmers for Ocean Drive Magazine

Model and fashion icon Olivia Culpo posed for the January 2017 edition of Ocean Drive Magazine, and this is one of my favorites of her work. She opened up in the interview about growing up a band geek, the pressures of being an influencer and cyberbullying, as well as a few new projects she has going on.

The shoot was done at Chateau Marmont by photographer Mike Rosenthal with styling by Jason Bolden, and the combination of this team was something just short of magic. Olivia was captured in a graceful, but entirely natural way that flies in the face of the current practice of airbrushed to the point of plastic. The styling is perfection – showing the luxe life with a laid back, romantic vibe. Even the gold sequin slip dress seems completely relatable.

In that vein, photographer Rosenthal walked a beautiful line between glamorizing Olivia and capturing her raw humanity – seeing her eyes in those shots and making a connection rather than idolizing her on an unreachable pedestal. Absolutely beautiful work. And of course, Olivia had a lot of play in that herself.
