Last night, Houston was lit with energy between that crazy comeback nobody expected, and Lady Gaga‘s halftime show. She gave a dazzling performance fitting for the biggest night of the year in football.
Standing on the roof of Houston‘s NRG Stadium with drones flying about, creating an American flag of lights behind her, Lady Gaga began the show with God Bless America followed by This Land Is Your Land. Unexpected, but welcomed. Then she dove(!) off the roof to the stage below.
As we got a close up, we could see this gorgeous lace mask she wore. Between that and her high-shoulder metallic bodysuit and matching heeled boots, she looked like the most glam superhero you’d ever meet.
From there it was a fabulous review of her greatest hits – Poker Face, Edge of Glory, Born This Way, Telephone, Just Dance, Bad Romance…they were all there. Of course, she wasn’t just singing, but flying above the stage, where fire was pumping, backup dancers were aplenty, and fans were waving lights in sync. The show was high energy, and Gaga nailed it. I’m sure any Lady Gaga mega fans were in heaven.
She had a few costume changes, and finally ended up in football shoulder pads before leaping off the stage while catching a crystal encrusted football. Stellar performance!
