{Luxe Holiday Style} 20 Amazing Last Minute Looks For July 4th

Wondering what to wear to the July 4th parties this weekend? My go-to place for the best last minute designer looks has always been RTR. No, this isn’t a collab post – they have no idea I’m writing this! I discovered them several years ago, tried them out, and have been addicted ever since. Especially since I’m a last minute planner.

So if you still don’t have a dress for a party this weekend, take a look. Their really quick shipping is a lifesaver. Another bonus: A lot of the dresses come with a free second size just in case the first one isn’t the right fit. A totally necessity for in-between sizers like me!

{LUXE RED CARPET} DAY 7 CANNES 2016: BEST DRESSED WAS DRIPPING IN SILVER

With the premiere of Pedro Almodovar’s Spanish film Julieta and Personal Shopper starring Kristen Stewart, the 7th day of the Cannes red carpet was a frenzy of fabulous fashion. There was great energy in the group. Actually it was a bit too kinetic, with a couple of mishaps on the red carpet. Hey, it’s bound to happen when you have those treacherous stairs combined with long trains.

There were a few breezy chiffons, a couple of stellar metallics, and on trend florals, and really…I just didn’t see any terrible looks. Bravo, starlets!

{Steal Her Style} Paris Hilton in Sheer Floral Nude Dress

Paris Hilton put us all to shame on Friday when she showed us what she wears to fly. She sowed up at LAX wearing this nude For Love and Lemons mini dress with a long sheer overlay with white floral appliques.

She accessorized the look with all white – shoes, hat, floppy hat, and handbag. Love this look!

{Luxe Red Carpet} DAY 4: CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2016

Yesterday was the premiere of The BFG, Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s twisted humor children’s story from 1982 starring Rebecca Hall, Bill Hader, and Mark Rylance.

Blake Lively once again owned the red carpet, this time in a stunning blue Versace figure hugging gown to show off that baby bump. See that and all the red carpet looks!

For the start of the festival, the stars really started it off well. They all looked stellar, and I didn’t see any complete and total flops. Maybe a few unflattering angles of certain looks, but all in all, most looked like they were on their game. So there’s no worst dressed list today! {OOTD} The Masquerade of Little Luxe

Little Luxe loves putting on makeup, wearing pretty masks, and dressing up in costumes… which kind of makes this whole fashion and beauty blog world a little perfect for her. For the latest shoot, she wanted to do a masquerade. So of course I obliged! She donned her fabulous peacock mask and held her own mini masquerade ball.

Here, she’s wearing my BCBGMaxAzria one-shoulder dress, modified slightly for her comfort. It’s a soft fit and flare with discrete 3D florals leading down to the hem.

{Resort 2017} Chanel in Cuba

It was quite the gamble Karl Lagerfeld took in choosing Havana, Cuba as the open air stage of Chanel’s Resort 2017 collection runway. With Cuba’s history of strained relations with France, as well as the juxtaposition of such a high-priced luxury brand in a city stricken with poverty, things could take an ugly turn for Chanel’s PR. But if it turned out to be a success, what an epic way to make history. Coco’s legacy making history yet again.

Lagerfeld didn’t stop just with the choice of physical location. The resort collection was a mashup of the best the two cultures have to offer, and overall a success it was. Intricate Parisian sheer chiffon and lacework paired with classic A-line ankle length breezy silhouettes of Havana. The panama hat mixed well with the beret (which said Che just as much as it did Pierre). If only there had been a raspberry beret to pay an extra homage while they were at it.
