MFW: Max Mara Collection Inspired by Iconic Marilyn Monroe

The F/W 2015 RTW Max Mara collection took inspiration from Marilyn Monroe. The glamorous bombshell was photographed by George Barris in 1962 in a cozy cardigan on the beach, and the translation from the photos to the runway is clear…and fabulous.

The collection was full of cozy winter coats, sheer sweaters and body hugging pencil skirts. The looks were sensual, yet tasteful and fully reminiscent to a bygone era in which bombshells were glamorous and classy.

  1. I can definitely see the Marilyn influence with the silhouettes and the hair of course LOL. I especially love the look on Gigi Hadid because the shape is very figure flattering and the bad she’s carrying is EVERYTHING. Thanks for sharing!
